Everything you need to Know.
At Small Wonders, every event we host is thoughtfully designed with care and intention — from the warm, welcoming atmosphere we create to the gentle flow of each session. We carefully plan each element to ensure children feel safe to explore and play, while parents feel relaxed, supported and part of something special.
OUR ROOMS
-
Main Room
Our large play space is a world of adventure, featuring a variety of themed areas designed to spark creativity and imagination. Little ones can explore the cosy home corner, bounce around on the bouncy castles, or climb and slide on the climbing frame.
For our youngest visitors, the baby area offers comfy sofas for new parents and a selection of heuristic toys for gentle exploration.
The toddler zone provides toys including a mini-slide and little house, while the role-play area lets imaginations run wild in a series of themed areas. Children can unwind in the peaceful reading den or dive into the dollhouse for some pretend play.
With car and train tracks, soft play zones, and so much more, there's a perfect spot for every child to discover and enjoy…
We cater for all ages from 0-4 years and pride ourselves on the quantity and quality of the toys available.

Messy Room
(Open on alternate weeks)
Our messy play room is designed for hands-on exploration and creativity. At the heart of the room is a large craft table, perfect for art projects and messy creations, where children can paint, draw, and get creative with various materials.
Tuff trays are scattered throughout, offering exciting opportunities for themed sensory play—whether it's building with blocks, digging in sand, or creating little worlds with natural elements.
Sensory bins, filled with tactile treasures like rice, lentils, water or foam soap, encourage children to engage with different textures and stimulate their senses in fun and dynamic ways.
This space is all about getting messy, experimenting, and allowing imaginations to run wild!

With five places available each week, this free group offers a safe space for parents to share support and encouragement, with tea, coffee and homemade cakes provided.

Wriggles & Giggles sessions are free. Book on our events page.

If spaces are available, you are very welcome to use our on-site car park.
There is also free on-street parking for up to two hours on many of the roads surrounding the LifeSpring Centre.
A council-run pay-and-display car park is located at the top of Clifton Street. (We have previously approached the council about reducing the charges, but unfortunately this has not been successful so far.)
Additional parking can be found at the large Sainsbury’s nearby or around West Park.
Please note that parking in these areas can become quite busy, particularly at peak times, so we recommend allowing a little extra time to find a space.
-
The group exists to serve the whole community, regardless of faith or background, providing a welcoming space where families can build friendships, access support, and enjoy quality time together in a safe and nurturing space.
-
Parents/carers are not permitted to take any photos during Small Wonders in line with our child protection policy.
This ensures that Small Wonders is a safe and happy place for everyone.
Not all parents or guardians consent to photos of their children being taken due to personal safety and privacy concerns:
Foster carers – Protecting a child’s location to prevent forced moves that could be traumatic.
Adoptive parents – Preventing birth parents from tracing the child.
Relationship breakdowns – Ensuring safety from potentially harmful ex-partners.
Social media concerns – Some families avoid platforms like Facebook to prevent harassment.
We ask everyone to sign a Photography agreement when they join Small Wonders and failure to comply will mean you will lose your place at Small Wonders.
