Our Small Wonders Story.
We began in October 2012 when four local mums in Wolverhampton shared a vision to support parents, carers and young children. It is a Stay and Play group that has grown into a warm, supportive community.
Now run by over 30 dedicated and passionate volunteers, the team works together each week to warmly welcome families, serve refreshments, lead creative and messy play activities, and foster a calm, supportive, and friendly environment where both children and parents can thrive.
We currently support 200 families with children aged 0–4 years, with all places fully allocated and a waiting list in operation due to high demand.
Based at the LifeSpring Centre in Wolverhampton, Small Wonders is an initiative of LifeSpring Ministries.
The group exists to serve the whole community, regardless of faith or background, providing a welcoming space where families can build friendships, access support, and enjoy quality time together in a safe and nurturing setting.

Our Values
Celebrating You
We believe every child is unique and every parent’s journey matters. We take time to notice milestones, encourage progress, and celebrate the small wins that make a big difference. By creating a positive and affirming environment, we help families feel seen, valued, and appreciated.
Providing Support
Parenting can be joyful, but it can also be challenging. We offer a safe and welcoming space where families can find encouragement, practical help, and a listening ear. Through friendship, shared experiences, and signposting where needed, we aim to ensure no one feels alone.
Creating Community
We are more than a group – we are a community. By bringing families together in a warm and friendly setting, we help build meaningful connections and lasting friendships. Our heart is to foster belonging, where everyone feels welcome and supported.
We Want To…
“… provide the families in Wolverhampton with excellent facilities, excellent toys, fun experiences and the opportunity to learn new skills, all with a warm and friendly service.”
“… support the families giving children a positive start in life and provide parents/carers with the support and encouragement they need.”
